The scent collection vacuum intake utilizes specially designed Scent Vials that have removeable top and bottom end caps. The vials are loaded with a sterile scent pad and the powerful rechargeable vacuum then pulls scent from evidence at the scene for 1 minute, which is then absorbed by the sterile scent pad. The end caps are replaced to seal the vial as it is removed from the vacuum. The scent article has not been touched or contaminated by the responder.
